On the Aravis road, Le Farto is an authentic address for tasting Alpine cheeses, including farmhouse Reblochon. Easily accessible thanks to its parking lot, the store is set in the heart of a cooperative carved out of the rock. Le Farto specializes in ripening and offers a selection of cheeses: chevrotin, farmhouse Savoy tomme, abondance and beaufort, all with PDO or PGI certification. Also available: Tomme au fenugrec, raclette with garlic, tarragon and shallots, and raclette smoked with beech wood. A true embassy of Alpine terroir!

Open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 7pm; Sundays, 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2:30pm to 7pm. Guided tour of the winery on Saturdays from April to October, by reservation at the Thônes tourist office. Price €2. Free for children under 12. Refiner of: reblochon fermier AOP, chevrotin AOP, tomme de Savoie fermière, abondance AOP, beaufort. Producer of raclette de Savoie and Roche de Thônes. Part of the Itinéraires des Fromages de Savoie network.

La boutique est très complète : fromages, charcuteries, confitures.... Il y a même un endroit "exposition" où l'on peut apprendre sur la fabrication des fromages. Grand parking devant, qui peut vite se remplir en raison de la fréquentation (la file d'attente serpente parfois jusqu'à sortir du magasin).

Un grand choix de fromages locaux, charcuterie, confitures, vins, et j'en passe à des prix bien plus intéressants qu'en altitude.
A cela s'ajoute une équipe professionnelle, à l'écoute et avec de bons conseils.
