A church classified as a historical monument with a finely sculpted baroque and a typical bulbous bell tower, located in Thônes.
Built at the end of the 17th century, the church of Saint-Maurice has been classified as a historical monument since 1923, for its finely sculpted and painted baroque altarpiece. Its typical bulbous bell tower is a symbol of the Savoyard baroque period; it houses four bells, two of which were cast by the Paccard brothers (see Saint-Jorioz). Damaged between the period of the Revolution and the bombings of the Second World War, it has undergone numerous restorations until today. Masses on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 6 pm; Sundays at 10:30 am.
