Here's a walk that's off the beaten track of the old town and the lakeside. Here, you're sure to meet fewer people and make some interesting discoveries while enjoying the cool Thiou river. The "grand Thiou", once the driving force behind Annecy's crafts and industry, has been transformed into a 3.5 km walkway, passing from the cobblestones of a crowded old town to the natural setting along the river. A section of the promenade is closed for renovation until the end of 2024. For further information, contact the tourist office.
