A remarkable castle in Annecy, former residence of the Counts of Geneva, now a museum with a variety of collections.
He watches over the old city with power and benevolence. Former residence of the Counts of Geneva, its construction began in the 13th century. The medieval fortress gradually gave way to the elegance of the Renaissance. After the fire of 1952, the castle was saved thanks to the Société des Amis du Vieil Annecy. Today, a museum presents various collections (art, archaeology, nature), while the Perrière tower is dedicated to the alpine lakes. Guided tours for groups on request. Superb temporary exhibitions.
