This basilica built in the 20th century, which dominates the city of Annecy, is accessible to disabled persons.
On the heights of Annecy, this basilica built in the 20th century watches over the city. Its most representative element is the spire of the elevated bell tower-porch, reaching 72 m. The apparent austerity of the exterior contrasts with a richly decorated interior. This basilica is the resting place of Saint Francis de Sales. In 1610, the man who studied in Annecy commissioned Jeanne de Chantal to found the Visitation order with him in order to help the poor.

Lieu de recueillement , avec de très beaux vitraux. Belle basilique et un très beau panorama. Mais il faut beaucoup marcher pour y accéder depuis la Vieille Ville.

la Basilique de la Visitation est vraiment superbe, le cadre est magnifique, elle surplombe Annecy et le lac.. A l'interieur les vitraux sont très beaux. Un très bel endroit à voir, même si on n'est pas croyant. A l'intérieur on se sent en paix.
