Youth hostel on the heights of Annecy offering a beautiful view of the landscape.
The youth hostel is an alternative which is not reserved for students and itinerant visitors, but open to all as long as they are members of HI youth hostels. 4 fir trees for a hostel located on the heights of Annecy, enjoying a view of the lake and a very pleasant forest environment. Free parking and shuttle bus to the old town and the train station. Well maintained rooms with 4 or 5 beds with shower and sink, wifi connection, fully equipped kitchen to share, as well as the terrace with its famous view on the mountains.

Wir waren für vier Tage in der Jugendherberge in einem 5 Bett Zimmer untergebracht. Der Ausblick und die Lage ist sensationell. Das Frühstück war auch ausreichend und hat uns geschmeckt. Die Mitarbeiter am Empfang sehr hilfsbereit und msn kann problemlos in Englisch kommunizieren. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Renovierung vertragen. Die Zimmer sind sehr spartanisch aber zum übernachten völlig okay. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt.

Le personnel est plus que sympathique, toujours présent et prêt à aider. La localisation de l’auberge super et le ménage est fait tous les jours.

Ich würde es nur für Jugendliche empfehlen. Gemeinsame Küche, kein WC im Zimmer, Wasser fließt kaum und zum Frühstück gibt es ausschließlich Brot und Cornflakes.
Sehr arme Umstände herrschen da leider, obwohl es nicht billig ist.. . Nie wieder!!!

Good:
1. Clean bed
2. Kitchen available, but quite under equipped
Bad:
1. No individual power outlet for each bed. Lacking power outlets in room, had to charge my phone in the common area as power outlets were fully utilised even in a room for four persons.
2. Toilets are outside the room and dirty, no bidet.
3. Shower is in the room but very noisy. Suggest to put shower outside room since toilet is already outside the room.
4. Quite inconvenient if travelling without car, though free car parking available.
5. Breakfast is atrocious. Bread is dry and powdery. Coffee from coffee machine is really bad.
6. No hook in toilet and shower. No place to hang my clothes or bag when using toilet or shower
7. No one at reception during check in, had to wait 30 minutes before someone came
