Narrow, roaring gorges, a prodigious site, both magical and frightening, where you advance on a wooden footbridge.

Not far from Annecy, the Gorges du Fier offer a breathtaking spectacle. A narrow, roaring canyon, a natural site to be explored by walking on a footbridge fixed into the rock 25 metres above the tumultuous waters. Sensations guaranteed on a site that has been open to the public for 156 years. Enora Poizat,3rd generation of operators and guardians of the Gorges, invites us to discover this incredible natural spectacle and the geological curiosities sculpted by erosion. Souvenir store and restaurant. An unusual experience to share with the whole family.

Walk through narrow gorge on high level walkway. Good fun, easy walking, recommended.

Nice place for a half day trip from Annecy. The walk is easy and suitable for children and you can do it in about 1 - 1.5 hours. We visited in october and it wasn`t crowded.
There are information panels about how the place was formed and you can search for different shapes in the rocks.

Très beau site naturel malgré un temps pluvieux lors de notre visite.

Ces gorges sont à visiter, en décembre c'est fermé mais avec le déluge actuel c'est fascinant de voir le débit de l'eau
