DOMAINE CREPY FICHARD
This estate, owned by the family since the end of the 19th century, prides itself on the quality of the product and the respect for it, reconciling over time respect for traditional know-how and modern techniques. The king, on this 10-hectare farm located on the south shore of Lake Geneva, in Haute-Savoie, is the chasselas. This local specificity was already present in Roman times and in the 13th century on the table of the Dukes of Savoy. Produced on the clay-limestone soils of the communes of Loisin, Ballaison and Douvaine, benefiting from the crepy appellation, the wines are produced from selected hand-picked grapes. After cold settling, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place under temperature control. Matured on fine lees, the wines are bottled in the spring. We fall in love with this "Selection of old vines", made from vines in their forties, which regularly receive awards from the greatest competitions.
