Château of the Marquis de Vogüé, on the banks of the River Ardèche, with dungeon, chapel, Salle des États de Vivarais and hanging garden.

The castle of Vogüé, located on the banks of the river Ardèche, 25 km from the Caverne du Pont-d'Arc, overlooks one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is still today the property of one of the great families who marked the history of the Vivarais, that of the Marquis of Vogüé. The visit will take you through the history of the family and of the castle, to the discovery of its interiors such as the dungeon, the chapel or the room of the States of Vivarais. From the hanging garden you will have a splendid view of the village and the Ardèche mountains.

Joli château de l'extérieur
C'est un joli château vu de l'extérieur dont la visite est rapide. On se plonge dans l'histoire du château et du village qui est lui-même magnifique à découvrir.

Joli village de caractère classé plus beau village de France. Belle situation au bord de la rivière l'Ardèche, quelques rues charmantes et la visite du château peut être intéressante avec des expositions temporaires.

C'est un château sympa mais sans plus. Les expo donne impression déjà vu, on aurait préféré quelques choses plus en rapport avec le château lui même. Vogue est 5e village les plus joli en France, mais ca laisse à désirer à mon avis. Les commerçants sont chers et pas accueillants (un resto - glacier pourtant vide a refusé de nous vendre des glaces si l'on ne mange pas le repas chez eux)
