A 25-chamber cave, with a sound and light show highlighting the drapery on the walls.
Located on the Gorges tourist route, some 20km southeast of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, the grotte de la Madeleine is divided into 25 rooms. Discovered in 1887, its entrance overlooks a 170 m wall of the Ardèche gorges. The 1 km-long tour lasts an hour and begins at the entrance to another cave, the Grotte Lescure. The highlight of the tour is the sound and light show. Tours can be combined with caving or wine tourism activities.
