A museum where you can find out all about lavender, its cultivation and its benefits, and watch two documentaries.
For years, the lavender museum had been one of the region's curiosities, attracting large numbers of visitors. A major renovation was completed in 2023 to bring the site up to date, and offer an even more immersive and educational experience to its visitors. First of all, from Musée de la Lavande, the site became Maison de la Lavande. This change is not insignificant; it is intended to emphasize that, before being an exhibition space, the house is first and foremost a producer-distiller of lavender. The entire tour lasts 1? hours, inside and out. The unmissable train ride through the lavender fields is one of the most popular attractions. Of course, it's even more enjoyable when the lavender is in flower, i.e. from June onwards. Indoors, a brand-new 360° room screens a film recounting the history of the estate. Other new features include two exhibition rooms focusing on lavender, of course, but also on the history of farming equipment. The visit ends with a guided tour of the lavender distillation process. A panoramic terrace offers a breathtaking view of lavender fields as far as the eye can see. The outdoor areas have been completely redesigned and refurbished. A fast-food area is available, as is a well-stocked souvenir store. It's enough to spend a good half-day in the sun in the intoxicating world of this fragrant plant.

On the program for your guided tour
To begin with, board the Petit Train des Lavandes for a tour of the estate! A true immersion into a world of colors and scents. New for 2023, enjoy an immersive experience in the 360° room with the show "Marius, l'enfant des Lavandes", retracing the fabulous history of the estate. Your guide will then reveal all the secrets of lavender in the Salle des Alambics and the Salle des Senteurs. Finally, watch a live demonstration of authentic essential oil extraction.
Organizing your visit
To make the most of your day, there's a bar, a snack bar featuring local produce, and an ice cream parlour with the inevitable artisanal lavender ice cream. Enjoy an exceptional view over the fields from the panoramic terrace. Shaded areas with picnic tables are available for lunch breaks. For children, an educational area on bees and a playground with zip lines.
Our boutique offers free access to lavender-based products: essential oils, cosmetics, perfumes, handmade soaps, not forgetting the essential lavender sachets!
Free parking for all vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, coaches and camper vans. Pets allowed on leash.

J'avais appelé ya 15 jours pour le renseigner sur les activités et sur les ateliers. J'ai bien précisé que nous venions le samedi matin et que nous avions 50 min de voiture avec la fille enceinte.
La dame que j'ai eu ma bien expliqué en me disant que le train ça ne secouait pas et qu'au pire on pouvait aussi le supprimer si ma fille ne voulait pas le faire.
Et que pour l'activité tout se suivrait. Au téléphone elle était top......
Mais à notre arrivée le samedi matin cette personne avait disparue.....on nous annonce qu'il n'y a personne pour faire les activités alors que nous avions choisi la maison de la lavande surtout pour l'activité.... Et en plus en regardant de plus près le site apparament il n'y a jamais d'activité le matin ....
A l'accueil une petite jeune qui est débordé car elle doit faire la caisse et le bar ...... On ne conseille pas ....

Nous venons de Ruoms et pour y aller on a longé le cours de l Ardèche, très beaux panoramas. Attention aux biquettes sauvages sur les routes !!!
