BOURDON CASTLE

4 km from Annonay, the castle of Gourdan dates from the mid-eighteenth century. The French-style flowerbed in front of the central building is distinguished by its originality. In the summer season, its boxwood embroidery, roses and orange trees add to the charm of the castle. The roof of the immense orange grove, which houses the trees that are vulnerable to the cold during the winter, continues. These buildings dominate the small park with its cedars and rhododendrons as well as the large park within its walls where a golf course has been set up which attracts amateurs from all over the region.
