THE CASTLE OF THE BRUGET

Built in 1594, it marks Jaujac with its majestic imprint. You can admire the beautiful coat of arms, a magnificent room with a French ceiling and a monumental fireplace, and a winding staircase that ends with a splendid and original palm tree vault. The enigma of Bruget lies in the interpretation of its coat of arms and especially the numerous symbols of companionship engraved on the stones: intertwined snakes, five-pointed star, chain, double V, some concluding that it was built by a Grand Initiate of Freemasonry.
