The museum reveals an eventful history, from the 17th century to the present day, and a heritage that has contributed to the city's worldwide renown. The museum occupies the birthplace of the Montgolfier brothers, in the heart of the Manufacture Royale. A visit to the museum includes a video, a demonstration of hand papermaking, animated machines and a dozen rooms showing the evolution of papermaking techniques over the centuries.

Opening time and information on CANSON AND MONTGOLFIER PAPER MILL MUSEUM
Year-round: Wednesdays and Sundays, 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm (except Easter) July 1 to September 1: every afternoon, 2:15 pm to 6:00 pm. Workshops and guided tours daily by appointment. Free for children under 6.5. Adults: €6. Children (aged 6 to 16): €5. For groups: guided tour + hot-air balloon or handmade paper workshop: €7.50/adult, €6/child. Store.
