Castle overlooking Culoz with its restored towers in the romantic style of the 19th century, which has hosted personalities such as Henriette d'Angeville.
This castle dominates the town of Culoz. Built on the rock of Montvéran by Pierre de Luryeux in 1316, this fortified house has only undergone a few modifications since its origins, including the restoration of its towers in a romantic style in the 19th century. Among the illustrious people who have stayed here are: the Constable of Bourbon (1490-1527), the Russian composer and conductor Serge Prokofiev (1891-1953) and Henriette d'Angeville (1794-1871), who was the second woman to climb Mont Blanc, in 1838.
