With its attractive storefront, it's impossible to miss the delicious Crèmerie Les Alpages on the main street running through Ambérieu. It's a gourmet stop-off point for those who want to stock up on the finest cheeses selected by Philippe Relave, a passionate cheesemaker who works with local farms. Depending on the season, you'll find between 80 and 90 varieties of cheese: comté, morbier, tomme, brie, chèvre, 6 or 7 raclettes, including one with truffles... Ramequin bugiste, cheese platters for aperitifs or meals, local charcuterie and Bugey wines to accompany it all.
