13th century castle with preserved military architecture, overlooking the plain of the Ain, lookout of the keep accessible by the staircase.
Built on a promontory in the 13th century, majestically overlooking the plain of the Ain, from where it offers a view of the surrounding regions, this fortress has kept its military massiveness. Built by the Dauphin of Vienne at the time of the war against the Count of Savoy (1272-1355), the castle of Allymes - which has benefited from several restorations - has kept the purity of its military architecture to this day. You can climb its 63-step spiral staircase and access the dungeon's belvedere for an additional fee.

Superb château and stroll around (mount luisandre...) and a real creperie Breton at the foot of the castle, excellent.

Castle, located under the mount Luisandre, a breathtaking view of la, the Beaujolais and built.
Moreover, there are many walks around.
Only small inconvenience: the parking is very small and the village not large difficult to be parked when there are many people.
