Valréas, located in the enclave of the Popes, is a historic destination for wine lovers. Cave Coopérative La Gaillarde, also known as Caveau Saint Jean, is a must for wine lovers in Valréas. The cellar offers a wide selection of red, rosé and white wines, as well as large formats and a wine fountain. The winegrowers of Valréas are proud of their heritage and perpetuate the know-how of their ancestors. The Valréas vineyards benefit from a unique terroir, with stony clay-limestone soils and a Provencal climate, giving the wines exceptional freshness and finesse. The winery's grape selection system is based on plot-by-plot selection, and vinification is adapted to each product style. In addition to free tastings, Caveau Saint Jean also offers a variety of local products, gift boxes and customizable bottles.

That's an area that's a little bit of everything. There is the wine (21 grape varieties are present!) with red côtes-du-rhône-villages valréas, white and rosé côtes-du-rhône. But there are also cherry and apricot nectars, apricot jam and even lavender essential oils! All this is of course produced on the land of the owner. The estate is well situated and well exposed on the plateau of Vinsobres, and extends over 48 ha in one piece. The red grape varieties are divided between grenache and syrah, the whites around roussane, marsanne, viognier, clairette and chardonnay. The 3 hectares of old Grenache vines are particularly pampered. The vineyard is structured for a better search for quality. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo rigorous sorting.
