The Deffends-Sault racecourse is a must for horse racing enthusiasts. Founded in 1904, the company that manages the racecourse celebrated its centenary in 1994. Nestled at the foot of Mont Ventoux, at an altitude of over 800 metres, this racecourse is unique in its kind, with its lavender field at the center. Meetings at Deffends-Sault are held on a grass track. The gallop track measures 850 meters, with a 250-meter straightaway and a width of 12 meters. The trotting track is 830 meters long, with a straight line of 220 meters and a width of 10 meters. The racecourse has two boxes and a snack bar.
