Recognized worldwide from Japan to Mexico, to Bolivia by way of Spain (and now the United States) as one of the master factors of our time, Pascal Quoirin is today a happy man. The Quoirin workshop, which employs a dozen people, was chosen 5 years ago by a commission of organists to build the organ of the church of Ascension located on prestigious 5 th Avenue in New York! Divided into two parts on both sides of the choir, it has 97 games, more than 6 000 pipes, 2 consoles: a 3-keyboards machine that only plays the mechanical organ on one side of the choir and another electric console to 4 keyboards that play the whole instrument. According to the organist of the New York Church, "the result goes beyond all expectations…" and the object is "so splendid and so beautiful musically… that this instrument will be recognized as one of the masterpieces of the contemporary organ invoice". Add that it is the first New York organ imported by a French workshop… a very legitimate pride for the company saint-didiéroise!
