The most beautiful road to Saint-Didier is the one from Venasque. It's as winding as you want it to be: you pass through the garrigue and oak forests. Panoramic views appear and disappear as the road bends. The village itself is known for its languor. Is it the Renaissance château or the old fountains that give it this atmosphere, or its long avenue of plane trees? Don't miss the stone porch topped by a tall clock tower. It marks the entrance to Château Thezan, built in the 15th century on the foundations of a Gallo-Roman villa and transformed over the centuries. It is inhabited year-round, but open to the public.
