Among the passions of Fanny, the château's owner, is one - whisky - inherited from her grandfather, a winemaker-distiller, which she shares with Jean-Baptiste, a young whisky oenologist. These whiskies have a taste of home, as each cuvée is created with a cereal that is emblematic of Haute-Provence: petit épeautre (spelt), sourced from local producers and grown according to organic farming principles. The artisanal maltings are home-made. Come and visit!

An oenologist and master blender, Fanny's passion and know-how - a family heritage - are shared with her distiller husband Jean-Baptiste. As whisky enthusiasts, setting up an artisanal distillery was an obvious choice when they took over the château. The Carme family becomes a must on Le Barroux. Their knowledge has been passed on for 5 generations, on the family property which has seen a succession of different cultures. Winegrowers but also and above all farmers. Their daily life is the vine, but also the olive trees, seasonal fruits and honey. You will find in their cellar red and rosé côtes-du-ventoux. But not only that, they produce their own olive oil, offer you a tasting and explain you its process and the nectar of cherries in season.
