Domaine La Roubine is a winery located in Gigondas, in the southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 2000 by Eric Ughetto and Sophie, the estate is now a family business. Eric is in charge of vinification in the cellar, while Sophie manages the winery. The domaine owns 15.5 hectares of vines spread over several appellations, including Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Séguret and Sablet. The land is situated on the main plateau on the left bank of the Ouvèze, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, at an altitude of 300 meters. The clay-limestone soil, composed in part of Dentelles scree, lends finesse and concentration to the wines. The main grape varieties grown are Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, but the estate also uses rarer varieties such as Cinsault and Counoise, which bring a unique personality to the wines.
