SCALLOP HILL
The chapel houses contemporary stained glass windows by Frédérique Duran, a master glass artist who lives in Gordes
The hill has been part of the town since the 15th century, and local residents have carved a staircase into the rock behind the tourist office. The "Vallons et Pinèdes" walk has been laid out in the very heart of the hill, covering 3.7 km of diverse Mediterranean landscape, with a 6.15 km variant. Thrill-seekers will enjoy Europe's first city via ferrata. The 12th-century chapel features contemporary stained-glass windows by Gordes-based master glass artist Frédérique Duran.
