The estate is situated in a natural circus on the hills; the place is picturesque with a view of the Beaumes mountains. Entered into the Leydier family in 1967, this seigniory dates back to 1050 . It is known for its rich and elegant Muscat. The harvest is carried out by hand. They produce a very fruity Chardonnay/Viognier local white wine. One finds there the typicality of the grape variety with its apricot perfume; or a special cuvée 100% Viognier. Their cru Gigondas and cru Beaumes-de-Venise vieilles vignes are recommended for game meals.

This is what inspires the Savonnerie des Dentelles, a small artisanal and family business. The Bernard family farm has existed since the end of the 1800s and has been handed down from generation to generation.

After several decades of mixed farming, it was in the 1950s that the grandfather favoured the cultivation of vines. Jacques, his son, began to develop the wine estate by planting numerous plots of vines... In 2008 the first vintage of Domaine La Ligière was born. The vineyard is mainly composed of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre vines, with an average age of about 50 years, and covers 50 hectares of organic farming.

VIGNERONS DE BEAUMES DE VENISE

Wine and alcohol cooperative
3/5

Created in 1956, since this year it has been associated with the Vacqueyras winegrowers' cellar, the group is now called Rhonéa. A magnificent terroir, grapes picked when ripe, a brand new, welcoming and spacious winery to which a good restaurant has been added. Today, the winery strives to maintain quality (manual harvesting, moderate yields of 35 to 38 hl/ha, supple tannins), which has nothing to envy to private cellars.

MOULIN À HUILE LA BALMÉENNE

Olive oil producer

With 650 olive growers delivering an average of 300 to 400 tons of olives (in good years!) exclusively from the Vaucluse for an annual production of 60 to 100,000 litres of extra virgin olive oil, the Balméenne oil mill is a must in the region. Created in 1925, the cooperative has obviously modernized but the know-how remains the same. You will find two oils in the shop: an olive oil made with the verdale and the AOC Provence.

L'ARBRE DE VIGNES

Organic store

One of the best value for money in our selection, this red-Rhone coast Tree de Vignes 2009 is surprising by its finesse and elegance: ruby robe, the nose of eucalyptus, lavender and thyme, without losing itself in the mouth, aromas beautifully filled with fresh acidity and absorbed by notes of caramel and ripe. Ideal companion for red meats and strong cheeses served at room temperature.

DOMAINE DE LA PIGEADE

Winery

It is discovered on the small road from Beaumes to Caromb. The estate is an enchantment for the eyes and the palate. Winegrower from father to son, the couple is very friendly and welcomes you particularly well. The sunny vines with east-west exposure give the best of themselves; reasoned cultivation, manual harvesting, rigorous sorting. We go for the often award-winning Muscat, but we also like the red Vacqueyras and the rosé with its salmon colour and subtle floral bouquet which should delight more than one. We recommend that you visit this cellar...

VIGNOBLE ALAIN IGNACE

Winery

Alain Ignace, son and grandson of winegrowers, gives a soul to this eponymous 13-hectare estate. The vineyard is organically managed. Its Muscat Petit Grain d'Antonin is of a beautiful finesse and its red Muscat. Another originality: they do not have a cellar and receive their customers in all simplicity, at home, and organize "meetings" (with a sommelier adviser, with a truffle grower and his dog, with a chocolate or cheese maker or a spice enthusiast): an original and praiseworthy effort in terms of wine tourism!
