In the 1900s, a tram ferry provided the link between Avignon and the Barthelasse island. Today, a free, regular shuttle bus takes you across. For those who want to explore the island by bike, it's possible to get on board with their 2-wheeler. The shuttle does not operate on days with strong Mistral winds, or from January¹ to February 15. Comfortably seated, you'll enjoy the view of the Pont Bénézet and the Rocher des Doms behind you. When you arrive on the island, you'll be amazed by the beauty of the site.

Every day in high season, Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in low season. Low season: open Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. High season: open every day. Pets welcome. The bike tour on Barthelasse Island offers a 13 km itinerary.
