Museum evoking a century of red bauxite mining in the center of the Var on 1 300 m2 of exhibition space
This museum, created on the initiative of the association of the Red Mouths, evokes, on 1 300m2 of exhibition, along a playful and educational course, a century of exploitation of the red bauxite in the center Var. It presents more than 500 objects of collection, machines, tools and documents. Two levels are open to the public: thanks to interactive terminals, you can discover the origin of bauxite, the techniques used to transform this ore into aluminum and the contemporary uses of this metal. Guided tours to the mine.
