On February 5, the Var chef realized one of his biggest dreams. He joined the very closed circle of the Michelin Guide's triple stars. Present at the Hôtel du Castellet since 2009, Christophe Bacquié is now starting a new page in a chapter that promises to be both rich and demanding to maintain the high level. Passionate since childhood, the chef has built a remarkable career path: he made his first classes with his family in Upper Corsica at the Bellevue Hotel in Lumio, then joined the Raimbaut brothers in the 1990s at the Mandelieu-la-Napoule Oasis. A few years later, he moved to Paris, where he met other chefs from the ovens, Raoul Gaiga and Jean-Yves Guého at the Méridien Montparnasse, Gabriel Biscay at Prunier's and Philippe Groult at Amphyclès restaurant. He returned to his island of Beauty, at the Villa de Calvi in 2000. There he won his first (2002) and second star (2007). In the meantime, he became Best Worker in France in 2004. In 2009 he adopted Provence, accompanied by his wife Alexandra Bacquié, current director of the Relais et Château du Castellet hotel, Chirstophe hit hard with a second star found in a few weeks for Le Castellet. Today the couple invites us to the "Restaurant Christophe Bacquié" for an invitation to escape, with a Mediterranean menu that Christophe sublimates with his team, they succeed together the delicate and perfect balance of a simple and technical cuisine at the same time. This year, Le Petit Futé will have the honour of organizing its Var edition launch party in the hotel of the named chef!
