MOUNT FENNELILLET
Between La Crau and Hyères, this mountain offers a breathtaking 360° view of the Mediterranean and a chapel worth visiting.
An ideal place to take a breath of fresh air! This mountain, which rises between La Crau and Hyères, is part of the Les Maurettes mountain range that separates the two communes. The 291-metre summit features a chapel (Notre-Dame du Fenouillet) and a breathtaking 360° view. The Golden Islands, the town of Hyères, the Maures massif, La Crau, La Garde, Toulon... nothing will escape you. The origin of its name seems to come from the word fennel, a plant once cultivated in La Crau. From 1840 to 1918, a distillery there produced a liqueur known as "Fenouillet".
