A remarkable Buddhist pagoda with a cultural garden featuring monumental marble statues, including a huge reclining Buddha.
This pagoda, the oldest in Europe and France, was built in 1917 at the request of Indochinese riflemen who were present in Fréjus at Camp Galliéni to fight alongside the French, as a place of worship before leaving for the front. It then fell into ruin for decades before being restored and transformed into a timeless Buddhist place of worship. Don't miss the enormous 10-metre-long reclining Buddha.
