Traditional animal park, a real green setting hosting bison, hippos and various animals in Fréjus.

Created in 1971, this traditional animal park of 16 hectares, a real green setting, with more than 200 trees and shrubs planted to bring coolness in summer to the animals and visitors, can be visited only on foot, through a circuit that allows to discover all its inhabitants: flamingos, ibises, cranes, toucans, ostriches, chimpanzees, bison, hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, Asian elephants, hippos, kangaroos, turtles, iguanas... Nearly 400 animals in total.

My family and me even let us like zoos and visit some as soon as we have the opportunity. Last Friday, we went to the Fréjus zoo and amazement. The road to visit by car is battered and barely driveable. The enclosures usually visited by car are empty, without any animal, we are even last there on foot. The zoo has lost some of its size (about half) that was probably returned to the city, but the prices are the same, namely €14.

The cages are very dirty, the animals do not have much to eat, even see anything for some and fight for an aromatic herb touch! Some monkeys (lemur) have even for balls (sizes especially under the neck).

In short, we visited zoos of them but it is the first we visit and which is in such a state of decay and dirtiness. I plains sincerely the animals and such places should simply be closed.
