LOU CALEN
Hotel offering rooms and restaurant with contemporary Provencal cuisine.
The acquisition of the historic bastide owned by Huguette Caren, the former owner, by a Canadian businessman marks the rebirth of a place that hosted Joe Dassin's wedding in early 1978. Following extensive renovation work, the hotel now boasts 34 rooms and suites, spread over 3 hectares of unspoilt nature, while retaining the original spirit of Lou Calen. Two restaurants, one gourmet and one bistro, offer lunch and dinner on site. New: a bookshop has opened in the hotel entrance.

The rooms are beautiful and make you feel right at home with a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. There is so much attention to detail that sets a high standard for relaxation. The radio in my little living room was so authentic that it made me feel like I had stepped into a time machine; and it works!
The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Whether offering local recommendations or simply greeting us with a friendly smile, they made our visit truly memorable. I especially want to mention Emma and Lou. We were worried about the language barrier, but they both speak English and Emma also communicated perfectly in Spanish. It was such a genuine conversation with them that time flew by as we conversed.
If you're looking for a peaceful escape to the heart of Provence, Hotel Lou Caleb is an absolute must. We can't wait to return!
