The acquisition of the historic bastide owned by Huguette Caren, the former owner, by a Canadian businessman marks the rebirth of a place that hosted Joe Dassin's wedding in early 1978. Following extensive renovation work, the hotel now boasts 34 rooms and suites, spread over 3 hectares of unspoilt nature, while retaining the original spirit of Lou Calen. Two restaurants, one gourmet and one bistro, offer lunch and dinner on site. New: a bookshop has opened in the hotel entrance.

De passage a Cotignac nous avons mangé par hasard au bistrot de cet endroit idyllique qui est LOU CALEN et nous étions emportés dans son univers provençal, si discret dans un coin de l'avenue centrale surpeuplée de monde.....nous avons passé un moment inoubliable derriere ses murs anciens...décoré avec tant de goût et respirant de tant histoire.....personnel au top, cuisine comme on adore - fine, généreuse et inventive! Et pour un prix si honnête dont de maints restaurateurs pourraient pâlir! On n'avait tout simplement plus envie de repartir! Merci pour ce bonheur a toute équipe et nous reviendrons pour sur une fois dans le coin !
