Dedicated to the white kepis, the Domaine du Capitaine Danjou, an annex of the Musée de la Légion Étrangère in Aubagne, presents a collection of 150 uniforms from 1831 - the creation of the Foreign Legion - to 1962, when the Legion left Algeria for Aubagne. It is in the Hall of Honor that future legionnaires receive their enlistment contract and unit assignment. They return here at the end of their missions to receive their certificate of good conduct before returning to civilian life.

A very important part of French history and amazing contribution to the world. Those that left their current country and fought for another deserve massive amounts of respect.
I got a little lost on the way but it was very much worth it. As has to be one of the best places foreign legion have to visit. Everything is looked after and cared for, while also having such a lovely atmosphere with plenty to see and a yummy restaurant that has incredibly good prices and tasty food.
You will find a shop that has got a large selection of foreign legion gifts. I personally recommend their olive oil and great selection of wine ????
Sadly I can't speak for the museum because it was shut when I visited. That I will update next visit, with my children!!
The surrounding grounds themselves have a good amount of trials you can walk. They feature a lot of shade from trees and seem quite easy for youngsters/small children!

Nous avons fait un repas avec des amis, l'accueil parfait et le repas très bon. Le rapport qualité prix très correct. Évidemment avec le vin de la légion excellent.

Toujours un plaisir, et je n'ai jamais été déçus. le repas et plus que correct. Le service et parfait, tout le monde et très gentil, agréable, et serviable. je reviens au mois de Mai, j'attend le prochain dessert revisité. Merci a tous a très bientôt, excellente journée.

Une très agréable découverte et la chance d’avoir obtenus une table pour deux suite à un désistement. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par l’accueil dans un lieu a priori « secret » ou « discret » et par un déjeuner avec un menu d’un excellent rapport qualité/prix, un service salle/ cuisine et bar comme on aime…non ostentatoire, efficace et vraiment très convivial presque familial comme la grande famille qu’est la Légion Étrangère Si vous voulez rester… surtout réservez….
