In 2019, the event celebrates its tenth anniversary and offers a completely original journey for the occasion. The concept is simple: discover places and sites that are often closed to the public by bike and have fun. In duo, with family, alone, with friends, here is the opportunity to discover the city in a different way! Open to all, just come with your bike, or rent one with city bikes (www.levelo-mpm.fr). This walk is a fun and original itinerary. Who could think of discovering these essential and unusual sites on a route of about 16 to 20 km, depending on the year, other than on foot? Over the years, the Vélotour has taken you to the heart of the famous Velodrome Stadium, historical and cultural monuments such as the Mémorial la Marseillaise, the Silo, the Opéra de Marseille and the Vieille Charité, green spaces such as the Borély park but also the Gare Saint-Charles, the European hospital, the Terrasses du Port and even a dockside ship, the Imprimeries de La Provence, numerous car parks and many others...
This year, nearly 8,000 participants are expected.
