Pétanque was born in La Ciotat. The world is held in Marseille. A sport, a real one and champions, only champions.

The Mondial La Marseillaise à Pétanque was created in 1962 and is in line with the great popular sports festivals. The competition starts every year on the first weekend of July and lasts five days. Nearly 13,000 players from all regions of France and abroad are expected to attend each year. This famous competition is open to all. That without forgetting the ladies and minots with the Grand Féminin and the Grand Prix des Jeunes.
