The Big Guy's playing the big game. Here is a restaurant to discover absolutely! To try it is to adopt it. Jean-Christophe Codaccioni comes from a family of restaurateurs from Saint-Etienne. He was inspired by the recipe book (which looks like a grimoire) bequeathed to him by his grandfather, Augustus; the famous "Grand Guste". Here, we love traditional French cuisine, we love good food, we love 'la bonne bouffe': grandfather's quail, rack of lamb with thyme juice, old-fashioned veal blanquette, pot of monkfish or even veal paupiettes with mushrooms... Once you've passed the door, the smell of good little dishes subtly perfumes your nostrils to delight your taste buds, and you discover a warm setting: majestic wooden and granite countertops, canvas bar chairs, a cloud of fringed lampshades, opal and Virginia creeper hanging, gilding and old tapestry decorate the walls. Before entering the exotic patio, you pass by the glass roof where roast, gild and redden on the spit, suckling pig, rack of lamb and other succulent pieces of meat. Everything is delicate, diligent and genuine. Le Grand Guste: a great team at the service of a great era!
