The Grotte Cosquer, a treasure trove of humanity sunk thousands of years ago, is now restored in the Villa Méditerranée.
The Cosquer cave, discovered by diver Henri Cosquer in the depths of the Mediterranean, is now open to visitors in a dedicated area. Entirely replicated in its original form, the visit takes place in an exploration module: plunge with your family into the bowels of humanity and admire drawings, engravings, paintings, handprints and other stalagmites and stalactites dating back 30,000 years to the present day. An audioguide accompanies your visit with scientifically rigorous commentary, including a child-friendly version.

Le niveau de détail et le réalisme sont impressionnants, on se croirait vraiment en train de contempler les œuvres de nos ancêtres. C'est un voyage captivant dans le temps, mais le musée ne s'arrête pas là. Il nous confronte également à notre présent, en abordant de manière percutante l'impact du réchauffement climatique et de la montée des eaux sur ce patrimoine exceptionnel. Cosquer Méditerranée est bien plus qu'un musée, c'est une prise de conscience. Un incontournable à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte.
