Cultural association whose vocation is the constitution of a collection of contemporary art in Marseille

Created in 1982, like all FRACs nationwide, the FRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is dedicated to building up a collection of contemporary art, disseminating it through temporary exhibitions, and raising public awareness through exhibition visits, meetings, conferences, workshops with artists, training courses, publications... A laboratory open to all forms of cultural and artistic cross-fertilization, a space for debate and the production of temporary exhibitions and cross-disciplinary projects, the new Fonds Régional d'Art Contemporain will offer visitors the opportunity to find, in the heart of the city, an abundant, convivial and lively resource center, encouraging encounters between artists and the public. The resolutely atypical building itself is also worth a look.
