LE COMPTOIR DE CÉSAR
An address offering various tasty meat dishes in Marseille.
Roland Schembri, one of the city's most renowned chefs, has had the bright idea of adding a second address to the Place aux Huiles, adjacent to the now-famous César Place. The new restaurant will delight fans of wood-fired meats and pizzas. This Master Craftsman's motto: quality products and conviviality. From the aperitif onwards, plates of Corsican charcuterie and mature cheeses. Next up, the very best in beef, including the latest trend: matured beef (more tender and tasty): Salers, Black Angus, Simmental, presented in a maturing cabinet, a meat cellar! On this particular day, Le Petit Futé opted for a piece of Simmental beef grilled over a wood fire and served with a Béarnaise sauce, ratatouille and home fries, seasoned with garlic confit in a small jar - divine! Another Comptoir de César specialty is Jules' wood-fired pizza, tested and approved by Lionel Levy! Finally, don't miss the cheese cellar, where you can sample the chef's selection of cheeses: chèvrerie du Rove, brie de Meaux, maroilles... In the glass, Fiumiccioli, Révelette, Fontainebleau and Jaboulet, the house references. The bill is just right for the quality of the products, and the service is smiling and efficient. Thank you and well done, Mr Schembri!
