Traditional soap factory, offering guided tours to discover the history of Marseille soap.

The Savonnerie du Midi is one of the last factories in Marseille to use the traditional know-how of a master soap maker. Since 1894, it has been perpetuating an ancestral know-how in order to produce genuine Marseille soap. Inaugurated in December 2018, the museum area welcomes individual or group visitors for guided tours following a path that will allow you to discover the history of Marseille soap, the traditional manufacturing process that is perpetuated at the factory, the historical uses of soap, etc. Ecocert certified.
