CHAPELLE SAINT-JEAN-DU-GRÈS
Chapel of the IXth century formerly the parish in Fontvieille until 1768, a private place hosting cultural events
Lost in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by olive trees, the Chapel of St. John is a 9th century building. The place is privately owned, but can be visited by asking the owners. Only the apse remains of the original building. In 1069, the monks of Montmajour Abbey took possession of the chapel as a place of worship. It became the only parish of the village until 1768.
