GAEC CHIARI

Regional grocery cheese and cream shops

The Chiari family raises, not far from the village, a herd of goats from an alpine breed, the chamoisé, brown goats with a black line on their backs with whose milk they make fresh or matured cheeses. Plain or with garlic, thyme or rosemary, they are delicious! They also have organic Aubrac cows, lambs and pigs raised in the open air whose meat they sell vacuum-packed at the farm every Friday. The animals are fed with organic fodder from the property in winter and graze freely in the summer.

If Jérôme Blochet takes his hives to Haute-Ardèche and Tain-l'Hermitage, he can find enough to make sublime rosemary and Alpilles flower honeys. For his lavender honey, the bees go to the violet flowers of Drôme Provençale, and for the sunflower honey, the great suns of Lauragais.
