Christophe Monterin's madeleines are a real gourmet reference for the people of Aix, the summer people and the tourists. As a proof, it is regular to see a line of customers waiting their turn in front of the counter opened on the Gaston de Saporta street. Made every day in the Peynier workshop, the madeleines are available in lemon, orange, rum, vanilla, praline... and you can also order by phone.

It was good but nothing crazy. Do not understand the hype.

These madeleines are truly amazing! Every flavor is delicious, but the chocolate madeleine is my absolute favorite—rich, soft, and just the right amount of indulgent. It’s the kind of treat that stays on your mind long after you’ve had it. I can’t wait to come back to Aix-en-Provence for so many reasons, and stopping at Madeleines de Christophe will definitely be one of the first things I do!
