Christophe Monterin's madeleines are a real gourmet reference for the people of Aix, the summer people and the tourists. As a proof, it is regular to see a line of customers waiting their turn in front of the counter opened on the Gaston de Saporta street. Not a tourist trap at all despite all the hype, absolutely gorgeous madeleines! Glazed, moist on the inside, just beautiful. We also tried them in the other highly rated place in Aix and they didn’t even come close - don’t waste your time and money anywhere else, this is the only place for the best madeleines in Aix!

Die Madeleines waren fantastisch, kein Vergleich zu dem, was man abgepackt kaufen kann. Schade ist nur, das teilweise schon deutlich vor der offiziellen angegebenen Uhrzeit diverse Sorten ausverkauft sind oder sogar gar nicht mehr da ist. Auf jeden Fall nicht auf den letzten Drücker vorbeigehen. :)
