THE HOLY MOUNTAIN OF VICTORY
Mont Sainte-Victoire, a paradise for hikers and nature lovers in Aix-en-Provence.
To the east of Aix-en-Provence, Sainte-Victoire culminates at 1011 m altitude at Baou des Vespres, with the Pic des Mouches at 1010 m! Its Provençal name is Venturi, undoubtedly of Ligurian origin, even if it's also a reminder of the victory of the Roman consul Caius Marius. A paradise for hikers and nature lovers, it can be explored on numerous trails and paths. Sainte-Victoire is also famous for having inspired the painter Paul Cézanne, who dedicated nearly a hundred paintings to it.

Dominant le pays d'Aix et surplombant la Provence, la montagne Sainte-victoire est un endroit idéal pour se ressourcer.
Il y a plusieurs tracés de randonnées mais celui qui y monte est éprouvant. Réservé aux bons marcheurs !
