Fountain being part of the most famous monuments, even the most emblematic, of Aix-en-Provence
It is one of the most famous monuments, even the most emblematic, of Aix-en-Provence. Since 1860, when it was inaugurated, the Rotunda Fountain has dominated the eponymous square from the top of its 12 meters and is the highlight of the no less famous Cours Mirabeau. Its basin, 32 meters in diameter, is decorated with 12 bronze lions that seem to stand guard. At the top of the fountain, three "graces" look in three different directions: Justice towards Aix, trade and agriculture towards Marseille, and finally the fine arts towards Avignon.

toujours agréable cette sublime fontaine de très grande taille est généralement la première que l'on voit en arrivant dans Aix en Provence.

Agréable de se balader dans le centre ville d'Aix en Provence avec la tranquillité des fontaines notamment la plus connue, celle de la rotonde. Nombreux bars et restaurants, cinéma a proximité

L'énorme point de repère du centre d'Aix entre le cours Mirabeau , le vieux centre et les Allées Provençales (centre commercial ouvert). Majestueuse, impossible à louper, bonne chance pour les photos à cause des voitures.

Une fontaine magnifique au départ du cours Mirabeau. A voir surtout le soir lorsque celle-ci est éclairée. Dommage que l'on ne puisse s'en approcher puisqu'elle joue également le rôle de rond point.
