A charming stopover in the heart of the Mazarin district and an atypical, multi-faceted address open to the public since 2010. It's an ^18th-century mansion with a large, tree-lined interior garden that's both romantic and peaceful, offering a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city and the nearby Cours Mirabeau. Enjoy a meal in fine weather, stop for tea or visit the temporary exhibitions. Don't hesitate to push open the door!

Low season: open Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm to 6pm. High season: Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm to 6pm. June, July, August, September, Catering. Free for children under 11. Adults: €6. Reduced rate €4. Free City pass. Tearoom.

Message from Management

Based in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, a stone's throw from the Fountain of the Four Dolphins, the de GALLIFET hotel houses a private contemporary art center of the same name. As soon as you walk through the large entrance gate, you will see contemporary artworks, such as Diadji Diop's "swimmer", the iconic sculpture of the establishment. The GALLIFET hotel organizes workshops and exhibitions, about 4 per year. Six large rooms exhibit a selection of contemporary artists and talents, including Mario Merz, François Arnal, Jannis Kounellis and Arnaud Lapierre. In summer, you can eat in the restaurant set up in the garden and in winter, the restaurant gives way to a tea room inside, in the heart of the exhibitions. Note that you can also privatize spaces for your events: weddings, seminars, filming, etc.

In the centre of Aix, a lovely gallery with always something interesting being shown. The restaurant in the shady courtyard opens during the summer months and is a hidden gem, a delicious set menu.

The Anonymous Project - Such a joyful exhibition at the very beautiful Gallifet. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone passing through Provence this summer, I have recommended it to many. The garden and the restaurant looked heavenly but sadly it was full the day I popped in but go go go!
