Celebrated before Lent, Carnival symbolized the end of winter deprivation and announced the return of spring. An ancestral tradition that also allowed people to travel and exchange their social role. Aix honors Her Majesty Carnival honorably through a colorful party, mixing music, dance and cavalcade. Prepared with the children of schools and city associations, a carnival corso is taking place, bringing together Aixois and visitors around many tanks and big heads… Since 2007, the festival has been organized by the city of Aix. In 2017, the theme «On the Edge of the Worlds» ended at the Rotunda with an aerial acrobatics show to reach the piñata. There are hundreds and thousands of spectators.

Il y a moins de char qu'il y a quelques années mais j'ai envie de dire qu'ils sont de meilleurs qualités! Cet année, le final était un lâcher géant de ballon, l'année dernière un feu d'artifice de confetti au dessus de la Retonde, ça valait le coup !

L’endroit choisi, loin du fameux cours Mirabeau et de la rotonde est situé sur une avenue sans âme où les gens devaient monter sur des espaces verts en pente « bon courage aux équipes qui devront refaire ces espaces verts » .
On se demande ce qui a bien pu passer dans les têtes des décideurs et organisateurs de cet événement pour le saccager à ce point?
Je pense que de nombreux Aixois n’ont pas compris …???
