Value-for-money lunchtime restaurant on a pedestrian street in Aix-en-Provence.
For over twenty years, Martine has welcomed us in a family atmosphere. You'll be seated around cloth-covered tables. The daily special changes daily. Suggestions include stuffed vegetables, beef tartar, carpaccio, salmon tartar, fresh fish, and salads (squid salad, Caesar salad...). We finish with peach soup and coffee tiramisu. All accompanied by local wines served by the glass. Good value for money.

Meilleur Tartar pas seulement d’Aix mais toute la France! Tout est délicieux ici et on a vraiment l’impression de manger chez la famille d’un ami. C’est un restaurant adoré par les Aixois. Le service est très sympathique et leur menu change tous les jours avec des plats et des desserts du jour. Un restaurant avec de la cuisine fait avec amour et des ingrédients qualité. On voit avec les plats que le chef est très expérimenté et attentionné. Seulement ouvert à midi car ils sont tellement bons pas besoin de dîner! Best Tartar not just in Aix but all of France! A true gem in Aix that is always chalk full with locals. The menu changes daily and you always feel like you’re eating at a friends house with their family. Everything is made with great care and expertise you can tell the chef knows what he’s doing. Always reserve because it’s always packed. Probably the best restaurant for locals in Aix, not at all a tourist joint. They simply rely on word of mouth because everything is delicious here and you always get very friendly service with a smile. A true family restaurant. Enjoy! Only open for lunch BTW because they’re so good no need for dinner!
